Chetan Bhagat | 3 Idiots & The End of Story
With reference to my last post Chetan Bhagat | 3 Idiots – The Real Truth
We have a conclusion to all this controversy. Chetan has Posted a new blog in which he says :
” When you are saying ‘based on a novel by’ in a movie, you cannot have a separate original Story credit in the film “
” While they did fulfill the ‘based on the novel by’ credit as per contract, by claiming the story as original and claiming it as theirs alone “
” To the extent they have done this, all I merely ask is put my name as one of the writers in the ‘Story’ credit. They can keep their names above me, and make me the third writer of the story. The screenplay is theirs anyway. “
Now This clearly means that todays Show Baaji was a fixed match between them & now all Chetan Needs is his name in the end ” Story – Chetan Bhagat ” which is very correct & i support his demand.
However this was not a very big issue if raised earlier & definately did not require all this Show Baaji.

But for Bollywood film its all about screenplay, and Chetain is right on point for the credit thing.
And he deserves it.
